Dr Maryam Eslami is a distinguished geneticist, regenerative medicine expert, and academic leader, serving as Dean of the International Faculty at Tehran Medical Sciences, IAUTMS, and President of the Applied Biotechnology Research Center at IAUTMS. Holding an MD and PhD in Genetics, she completed a Fellowship in Regenerative Medicine at Harvard Medical School, pioneering advancements in genetic research, biotechnology, and personalised medicine.
As Head of the Genetics Department at Islamic Azad University of Medical Sciences, Dr Eslami is dedicated to scientific innovation and education, mentoring PhD students and contributing to global genetics and regenerative medicine research. She is a member of the American Society of Genetic Counselingand an Educational Research Associate at the International Center for Person-Centered Approach Medicine in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Dr Eslami’s groundbreaking contributions have earned her international recognition, including the United Nations WIPO Gold Medal for Best Invention and Best Woman Inventor (2008). She has served as an Executive Director and keynote lecturerat leading global conferences, including the International Heart Valve Disease Congress (Cambridge University), the American Stem Cell Therapy Congress, and the China International Congress of Cell and Molecular Biology.
A renowned innovator, Dr Eslami holds international patents for medical devices, including a bone repair and surgery device (Olecranon) and skin scaffolding technology. With over 30 research papers published globally, she has shaped advancements in genetic medicine, biotechnology, and regenerative therapies.
Recognised as an elite scientist and recipient of innovation awards from Iran’s Supreme Authority, she continues to lead groundbreaking research, mentor future scientists, and drive transformative change in personalised medicine.
