Professor Karim Nayernia is a renowned biomedical scientist, world expert in stem cell biology and personalised medicine, and Founder & Director of the International Center for Personalized Medicine (P7 MEDICINE), Germany. He also leads the European Cell Medicine Institute (ECMI), the European Center for Personalized Medicine (ECPM) in Düsseldorf, and P7 MEDICINE Gulf in Dubai.

With a Ph.D. from the University of Göttingen (1993)and a professorship in Molecular Human Genetics (2003), Prof. Nayernia has pioneered groundbreaking research in stem cell-based therapies for heart disease, Parkinson’s disease, and male infertility. His team was the first to isolate spermatogonial stem cells (maGSCs) from adult mouse testes, demonstrating their ability to differentiate into heart, muscle, and brain cells, paving the way for new regenerative treatments.

In 2009, he achieved a major breakthrough by creating human sperm-like cells from male stem cells in the lab, following his 2006 success in producing mouse offspring from embryonic stem cell-derived sperm.
