Sumaia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition from Mutah University in Jordan. She also pursued her Higher Diploma in Sports and Nutrition from the Academy of Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Higher Diploma in Natural Nutrition from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Canada. Back in Dubai, she has led several esteemed healthcare institutions like the Al Garhoud Hospital and Dubai London Specialist Hospital and Clinic as Head of the Nutrition Department and Clinical Dietician.
With a strong belief that wholesome nutrition is the key to maintaining health, wellness, and stability; Sumaia has been personalizing nutrition programs for individuals with diabetes, weight management issues, and heart diseases.
Her methods and approach have proven to be effective, and she hopes to bring about a positive nutrition-based lifestyle revolution for people to believe in its true potential.
She previously worked as a Media dietician Expert with Sky News Arabia and can currently be seen on MBC’s morning show Sabah Al Kheir Ya Arab where she addresses the audiences to alter lifestyles for a healthy body and mind. Being a popular health and fitness celebrity on television, radio, and other media platforms, Sumaia has been optimizing all the available platforms to help audiences realize the importance of nutrition.
Sumaia is a member of Academy of Nutrition And Dietetics “ Eat Right “, Arab center for nutrition, Emirates Obesity and metabolic surgery interest group (EOMSIG) and UAE nutrition group.
