Q1. How do you approach health and wellness at your clinic?

Wellness is a multifaceted term that spans a wide range of practices, from yoga and exercise to the depths of functional medicine and stem cell therapy. Today, health encompasses mental, physical, and occupational well-being, as well as disease prevention. At our clinic, we adopt a functional and regenerative medicine approach, leveraging the body’s inherent ability to heal itself. This begins with an in-depth study of the gut, the most critical immune system organ, alongside an analysis of individual gut biomes, genetics, metabolic, and hormonal profiles. Our personalised programmes, ranging from 7 to 15 days, integrate modalities like yoga, diet, exercise, and sleep studies, and may culminate in intravenous stem cell therapy. This comprehensive approach ensures a holistic enhancement of health and well-being.

Q2. How do you define “healthy”?

For me, being healthy means having the mental peace and physical capability to pursue all your desired activities.

Q3. Is food the main cause of illness, and how has the modern diet influenced disease prevalence?

The saying “you are what you eat” holds a profound truth. Our gut, home to over a trillion microbiota, plays a crucial role in regulating our health. The gut’s integrity is vital for preventing diseases, as its cellular barrier protects us from absorbing toxins. Modern diets, characterised by white flour, cow’s milk, and refined sugars, have led to a rise in conditions like gluten intolerance, lactose intolerance, and insulin resistance. These dietary habits have undoubtedly contributed to the emergence of new diseases and imbalances in individual nutrient profiles.

Q4. How does gut health impact aging and disease prevention?

The gut microbiome, a symbiosis of the body with trillions of organisms, is essential for preventing bloating, constipation, and toxin absorption, while also regulating the immune system. A compromised gut can lead to inflammation, a primary cause of aging. By maintaining a healthy gut, we can significantly reduce inflammation and slow the aging process.

Q5. Why are many diseases, particularly autoimmune diseases, still without effective treatments, and how can stem cells help?

Traditionally, medicine has focused on treating symptoms rather than root causes. However, many diseases stem from cellular metabolism issues and diminished immune system efficacy. Aging is viewed as a disease that leads to other ailments due to increased inflammation and cellular degeneration. By creating a low-inflammation internal environment through therapies like photodynamic, ozone, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, we can prepare the body for stem cell treatments, which help rejuvenate and regenerate cells, potentially aiding in autoimmune disease recovery.

Q6. What is stem cell treatment and its impact on medical therapies?

Stem cell treatment involves assessing an individual’s physiological condition, reducing body inflammation, and administering intravenous stem cells to initiate regeneration. This process aims to reverse biological aging and prevent future diseases. Control over our epigenetics (lifestyle) plays a significant role in both disease prevention and treatment.

Q7. What is Exosome Therapy, and what are its benefits?

Exosomes, cellular products that guide stem cells, are used to stimulate one’s own stem cells for regenerating tissues like cartilage and skin. This therapy, applicable to joints, face, and hair, offers anti-aging benefits and aids in reducing inflammation and promoting recovery.

Q8. What lifestyle changes can improve health and delay aging?

To improve health and delay aging, consider the following lifestyle changes:

  • Diet: Eliminate sugar, reduce lactose intake, and avoid gluten.
  • Physical Activity: Engage in weight training at least three times a week to prevent muscle loss.
  • Hormesis: Incorporate intermittent fasting, interval training, cold plunges, and saunas to rejuvenate the body.
  • Sleep: Ensure 7-8 hours of sleep per night for optimal recovery and repair.
  • Social Interactions: Maintain strong social connections to reduce stress and promote gene expression that combats aging.

By adopting these habits, we can enhance our overall health and well-being, significantly delaying the signs of aging.
